Julie and Neal are Analece’s resident lapidaries. They provide custom stone cutting services as well as beautiful hand cut cabochons and faceted gemstones, collectible geodes, rocks,
minerals and fossils. Julie and Neal specialize in cutting from “old rough” (natural stone material that has not been mined in 20-50 years) which they select from their extensive collection.

Karen had been creating jewelry since about 1970. She started simply, and has used books as her teachers. Karen likes to feel that her jewelry pieces are small sculptures or art you can wear, and she thinks of them as little treasures. As she roams around, her mind is always “on”, and anything can be an inspiration- the shape of a leaf, a chip in the  sidewalk, the curve of a branch; the world is full of inspiration. When she constructs her pieces, they have to “feel” right before she considers them finished. Her pieces are make of many components: silver, copper, beach stones, shell pieces; the possibilities are endless.

Dan and Angie Beaver
Native American Beads and Skull Art

Dan and Angie, who were recently married, share a love of jewelry and sculpture with a Native American influence. They strive to maintain the traditional Native American design in their pieces, adding a modern flair to each finished work. Dan is a registered member of the Muskogee Creek Nation, and Angie is Choctaw and Osage. They both participate in traditional Native American ceremonies, often times wearing their authentic Native designs. Both artists take custom commissions.

hen asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she always answered “An Artist” or “an Illustrator.” She has illustrated over 50 greeting cards and several cookbooks. About 10 years ago she started painting for galleries. A child of the Southern United States, Robin was born in Nashville, Tennessee and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisana, Columbia, South Carolina and Homewood Alabama before moving to Daphne. Robin’s whimsical art reflects her engaging personality.

Carol is a true southern belle, moving from Florence, Alabama to Huntsville and then to Fairhope where she currently resides. She is a seamstress, and a bead artist, know for her fabulous smocking patterns and her intricate bead designs. Carol specializes in woven bead patterns and hand made beads, spending hours developing patterns with tiny delicas.
